The owner of NetProphets Medical Billing Solutions is Mary Jo Layton.

Mrs. Layton began her insurance education growing up with a father who was Senior Vice President of Metropolitan Life Insurance. At 21, she became employed at Prudential Insurance Company in health claims and quality control. From age 27 to 42 she worked side by side with numerous physicians in a variety of specialities, setting up the practice, setting codes and fees for maximum insurance reimbursement, battling daily with the insurance carriers, and assisting the patient with everything from referrals to payment arrangements. She has watched the industry change dramatically and is aware of the many "tricks of the trade" necessary to get things done.

Today, she is a Certified Medical Billing Specialist and Certified Coder, running a Billing Service for Physicians. She is however, also a mother of four children, and  daughter of 2 elderly parents, and can empathizes with the patient.

 Having been on both sides of the desk, she knows just how frustrating it can be to deal with the healthcare bureaucracy, especially when your first concern is the health and proper medical treatment of your loved ones.
